The studio has clarified its vision with a fresh mission statement, aiming to continue producing top-notch strategy games that it’s recognized for, while also seeking out new prospects and potentially working on remakes and remasters in the future.
This week, Relic unveiled its fresh mission statement in a press release, outlining its future plans, marking one of its initial announcements since it separated from Sega in March 2024. The organization has divided its objectives into three significant areas: Strengthening the Bond with Current Games, Self-produced Innovation & Creative Ventures, and Revitalizing Classics. In strengthening bonds with current games, they pledge to uphold and enhance their existing titles like Company of Heroes 3. They plan to support active games within their library and maintain an open dialogue with players to swiftly respond to feedback.

For the next phase, Relic assures they’ll persist in creating strategy and tactical games that they excel at. At the same time, they’re open to exploring fresh ideas by developing and publishing smaller-scale projects in-house. To put it simply, they plan to actively work on both smaller-scope, internal games and continue refining their expertise in crafting larger, complex strategy titles.
