Initially appearing on small screens in 2022, “Reincarnated as a Sword” is coming back for its Season 2. Streaming titan HIDIVE has announced the timeframe for its release. This anime series, adapted from Yuu Tanaka’s manga of the same title, consists of 12 episodes so far, and the second season will further expand on the narrative laid by its predecessor.
New episodes of Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 to release next year
At Anime Expo 2025, HIDIVE unveiled the approximate release period for the second season of Reincarnated as a Sword. Following the confirmation of the sequel shortly after the last episode of Season 1, HIDIVE has now revealed that the new season will be available in fall 2026.
Alongside the announcement of the release dates for Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2, fans were treated to a stunning promotional image featuring the character Fran gracefully gliding on the back of Teacher, her sword form, in mid-air.

Additionally, the announcement made official Shinji Ishihara’s return as the series director and Studio C2C rejoining to animate Season 2. Simultaneously, Atsuko Saito has been appointed character designer, while Takahiro Nagano will handle the composition for the upcoming second season of this franchise.
At the gathering, John Ledford, who is the President of HIDIVE, shared some exciting news about the upcoming season of the popular anime “Reincarnated as a Sword.” He announced that Season 2 will be released next year and will stream exclusively during HIDIVE’s Fall 2026 simulcast season. The original season of “Reincarnated as a Sword” was a massive hit when it first premiered on HIDIVE in 2022, and the fanbase has remained strong ever since.
