Regina Hall & More Join Amazon MGM’s Will Ferrell & Zac Efron Comedy Movie

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m super stoked to share that two fresh faces are joining the cast of the upcoming Will Ferrell and Zac Efron comedy flick! This unnamed project is under Amazon MGM Studios, and it’s being directed by none other than Nicholas Stoller, who has previously worked his magic with both Ferrell and Efron in movies like “You’re Cordially Invited” and the “Neighbors” series. Can’t wait to see these comedy giants collaborate again!

The movie will be helmed by Stoller in both direction and scriptwriting. Notably, it will also be produced by Stoller under the banner of Stoller Global Solutions, alongside Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, and Alex Brown for Gloria Sanchez Productions. This new venture represents Efron’s most recent collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios, following his role in last year’s film “Ricky Stanicky” alongside John Cena.

Who is joining the untitled Will Ferrell and Zac Efron comedy movie?

Actors Regina Hall (from Scary Movie and Girls Trip) and Jimmy Tatro (American Vandal fame) have been brought on board to join Ferrell and Efron in a yet-to-be-titled comedy. This collaboration marks a reunion for Tatro with Ferrell and Stoller, following their work together in the recently released family comedy, You’re Cordially Invited, where they were joined by Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon.

The movie narrative centers around a recently released ex-convict (Efron), who seizes control of a reality TV courtroom, accusing the self-important TV judge (Ferrell) of a previous verdict that he believes has devastated his life’s trajectory.

In the latest production, Hall has been cast in the musical drama film O’Dessa, with Sadie Sink portraying the main character. Upcoming projects include collaborating with Leonardo DiCaprio on Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming directorial project titled One Battle After Another. Additionally, there are plans for her to return as Ryan Pierce in the long-awaited sequel of Girls Trips.
