As a dedicated fan of the Red Swan K-drama series, I am absolutely hooked! With each new episode comes a rollercoaster ride of emotions and twists that keep me on the edge of my seat. In episode 6, we saw Oh Wan-Soo and Seo Do-Yoon’s relationship deepen amidst the chaos surrounding them. The introduction of new characters and the revelation of secrets added to the tension, keeping us guessing.

On July 17, 2024 at 4 p.m. KST, Disney Plus premiered a fresh episode 6 of their original K-drama “Red Swan.” In this series, golfer Oh Wan-Soo, portrayed by Kim Ha-Neul, marries the scion of the powerful Hwain Group and manages their philanthropic NOW Foundation. However, her life becomes complicated when she encounters Seo Do-Yoon, played by Rain, who brings about secret plots against Wan-Soo and the foundation.

In Episode 6 of Red Swan, Oh Wan-Soo and Seo Do-Yoon’s schemes experienced notable friction due to the arrival of new figures and the exposure of concealed facts. As they recuperated from an assault, the Hwain Group’s representatives, such as Chairwoman Park Mi-Ran and her assistant Han Sang-Il, harbored a covert truth. By the episode’s conclusion, Wan-Soo and Do-Yoon encountered complications when the NOW Foundation became the focus of attention.

In Episode 6 of Red Swan, Seo Do-Yoon was severely hurt during an unexpected attack, yet he valiantly shielded Wan-Soo, who only suffered light wounds and swiftly healed. Concurrently, Do-Yoon underwent a successful surgery but required extended rest. The perpetrator of the assault was unveiled as a security guard hired by K1 to safeguard Wan-Soo. In a clandestine conversation, Wan-Soo expressed regret for the botched mission to her employer.

Oh Wan-Soo recovers from the attack

After Wan-Soo’s surgery, her husband and Hwain Group heir, Kim Yong-Guk, stayed by her side in the recovery room. But as soon as she came to, her first question was about Do-Yoon’s location, leaving Yong-Guk feeling angry and frustrated. He didn’t waste any time and paid a visit to the still unconscious Do-Yoon. Intriguingly, K1 found surveillance cameras in Do-Yoon’s room, suggesting she couldn’t have assaulted him.

At the Hwain Grand Palace, the General Commissioner conferred with Chairwoman Park Mi-Ran and fund manager Han Sang-Il. They requested that the commissioner investigate the identity of the attacker. However, Sang-Il emphasized the importance of handling this matter discreetly. In the hospital, Wan-Soo sought out Do-Yoon but couldn’t find him.

Do-Yoon obtained the CCTV recordings from the scene of the incident through a friend and workmate. Simultaneously, Yong-Guk gave additional funds to security chief Park Kyeong-Ju for illicit financial dealings.

Instead, Sang-Il proposed that Yong-Min and his wife consider investing in Yong-Guk’s business. Yet, they preferred that Wan-Soo and Yong-Guk make amends for their actions first.

Oh Wan-Soo & Seo Do-Yoon share an emotional hug

Wan-Soo encountered a recuperating Seo Do-Yoon and inquired about his actions putting his life at risk. Do-Yoon replied that he had merely listened to his heart, as his mother had always encouraged him to do. Despite feeling powerless, Wan-Soo reassured Do-Yoon of her complete trust in him. The pair then exchanged a heartfelt embrace, conveying their hidden affections towards each other.

At home, Wan-Soo pondered over Mi-Ran’s plan to save herself with money. Mi-Ran requested Wan-Soo’s help in dealing with Jang Tae-Ra, who aimed to invest in the duty-free business. Later on, Wan-Soo cautioned Tae-Ra and her mother against proceeding with the deal or face potential repercussions.

I was eagerly anticipating Wan-Soo’s request at the NOW Foundation. When she asked me for the foundation’s ledgers that were in Han Sang-Il’s possession, I felt a pang of unease. Hyun-Soo cautioned me, explaining that he could potentially take the blame if anything went awry.

In the later part of the episode, Mi-Ran went to Sang-Il’s place carrying a bottle of wine as a gesture. He welcomed her inside and drew the curtains, with Kim Yong-Guk observing their encounter from outside. The scene transitioned into a flashback, revealing an affair between Mi-Ran and Sang-Il. Young Kim Yong-Guk was present during this incident and witnessed it unfold. Mi-Ran disclosed that her late husband and chairman, Kim Duo, was aware of their infidelity. This revelation left a young Yong-Guk in tears.

At the security headquarters, Do-Yoon ran into Kyeong-Ju and shared his suspicion that Yong-Guk was linked to the Eight Star gang’s hit-for-hire deals. But Kyeong-Ju didn’t consider Yong-Guk a suspect in this matter. Undeterred, Do-Yoon pressed Kyeong-Ju for information regarding Yong-Guk’s money laundering activities.

Red Swan episode 6: What happens at the end?

At night, Wan-Soo ran into Do-Yoon and requested that he retrieve the foundation’s accounting records from Han Sang-Il’s residence for her. Do-Yoon devised a scheme and even manipulated Sang-Il’s fingerprints to gain entry. Since there were no surveillance cameras inside, Do-Yoon understood that all the illicit money laundering activities would take place in this very location.

While entering the house, He was unexpectedly spotted by security guard K1, who had been involved in past altercations with him and Wan-Soo. She notified Sang-Il about my presence. On my return journey, I discovered that Do-Yoon had already taken the ledgers and left for the NOW Foundation. Realizing this, Sang-Il alerted Chairwoman Park Mi-Ran.

Towards the close of the episode, Do-Yoon handed over the ledgers to Wan-Soo while cautioning him to keep them secretly. But before Do-Yoon could depart, law enforcement officials unexpectedly appeared with a search warrant and apprehended Hyun-Soo.
