Reboot of ‘Silent Night, Deadly Night’ Begins Shooting

As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that I’m part of the team backing the production of a fresh take on the iconic Santa slasher movie, “Silent Night, Deadly Night.” The cameras are now rolling in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where we’re breathing new life into this cult classic. Can’t wait to see the chilling results!

As a cinephile, I’ve just caught a glimpse of the initial sneak peek revealing Rohan Campbell, known for his roles in “The Hardy Boys” and “Halloween Ends,” stepping into the shoes of Billy Chapman, the central character in this upcoming film. In an intriguing twist, it appears that Billy will embark on a chilling rampage while donning a Santa suit!

Alongside Ruby Modine, who portrays Pamela – a coworker with whom Chapman harbors an unreturned affection, we also have new cast members joining the production. These include Mark Acheson, David Lawrence Brown, and David Tomlinson.

The film, distributed externally from North America by Studiocanal’s latest genre label Sixth Dimension, is set to hit U.S. cinemas on December 12, 2025, just in time for the Christmas season.

Silent Night, Deadly Night

The plot revolves around a child who endures a horrifying experience when he witnesses his parents being murdered by an individual impersonating Santa Claus. As time passes, he grows up and assumes the Santa suit himself to exact violent retribution on those responsible for his family’s demise. This film has given birth to numerous sequels throughout the years and a reimagined version in 2012.
