In a recent revelation, Rebel Wilson shared details about an unforeseen incident on the set of her upcoming action-comedy, Bride Hard. During filming, the actress famously known for her role in Pitch Perfect, had an unscheduled visit to the hospital and a thrilling tale that could have been straight out of an action movie.
Rebel Wilson talks about her nose injury
During an interview with PEOPLE, Rebel Wilson revealed that a mishap involving a prop gun took place during the last night of filming, around 3 a.m., causing a painful injury to her nose in a fight scene. She explained that it wasn’t meant to occur and described how she ended up with an open nose wound. As a result, she was quickly transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.
At 6:30 in the morning, a plastic surgeon was summoned to attend to an injury. Wilson expressed his concerns, saying, “For a while, I wondered if my face would ever be alright again.” Shortly afterward, a specialist from Savannah, Georgia skillfully repaired Wilson’s nose with stitches. “They sewed up the entire nose on the spot.
Despite the severity of her nose injury, Wilson managed to find a positive aspect from the experience. She humorously remarked that, “It’s at least comforting to know I’m now part of the same ‘club’ as Tom Cruise and Daniel Craig, who have also been injured during action scenes in movies.
Later on, she posted pictures of her healing process on various social platforms, revealing that she had laser therapy to minimize scarring. She pointed out, with a sense of relief, that the procedure was smack-dab in the center of her face, and thankfully, it turned out successfully.
