Ready or Not 2: Samara Weaving on Whether She’ll Return for Sequel

As a die-hard fan of horror comedies who has been following Samara Weaving’s career with bated breath since her breakout role in Ash vs Evil Dead, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard that Ready or Not 2 was on its way! The original film was a rollercoaster ride of suspense and humor, and Weaving’s performance as the resourceful and tenacious Grace was nothing short of brilliant.

2019’s horror comedy “Ready or Not” proved to be a significant success for directors Radio Silence, and it significantly boosted the career of actress Samara Weaving. With a sequel, “Ready or Not 2,” in the works, the contemporary scream queen discusses whether or not she will reprise her role in the upcoming film.

Earlier this year, it was made known that the second installment of Ready or Not is in development due to the film’s successful debut and substantial box office returns. Yet, despite the confirmation of a sequel, there has been no news about whether Adam Wingard will reprise his role.

Will Samara Weaving return for Ready or Not 2?

As I chatted with ComicBook, I spilled the beans about my upcoming role in Azrael, hitting theaters on September 27. I confessed that I’m fully committed to the sequel that’s brewing up next!

Weaving stated, ‘I’m fully committed, I believe everyone is. I can’t say for sure, but it seems that way. While we haven’t sealed our alliance with a traditional blood oath, we have symbolically agreed, as indicated by the spit handshake. However, we haven’t exchanged blood yet.’

The movie, “Ready or Not,” unfolds during Grace’s wedding night, when her in-laws had some peculiar and ominous plans for celebration. This unexpectedly turns into a gruesome game of hide-and-seek for Grace, far from the idyllic night she had envisioned. As the newlywed bride battles to stay alive throughout the night, she will eventually come up with a cunning strategy to outwit her sadistic new family.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to highlight that the captivating black comedy I recently watched was masterfully directed by the dynamic duo, Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin. The star-studded cast included Mark O’Brien portraying my beloved character Alex, alongside Adam Brody playing Daniel, Henry Czerny bringing Tony to life, Melanie Scrofano enchanting us as Emilie, Elyse Levesque embodying Charity, and Nicky Guadagni adding depth to Helene.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited to share that instead of Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillet, it seems like the sequel is now in the capable hands of Adam Robitel, known for his work on Escape Room. Unfortunately, further details about Ready or Not 2 are being tightly guarded, leaving us eagerly waiting for more information!
