As a die-hard fan who has eagerly followed the twists and turns of the Ready or Not saga since its spine-tingling debut in 2019, I couldn’t contain my excitement when the news about Ready or Not 2 broke! Additionally, it received positive critical acclaim, sparking anticipation for a sequel from Searchlight Pictures. Ready or Not 2 officially announced with Samara Weaving and directors returning
During a special showing of the first film, it was officially announced that the long-anticipated sequel to the horror movie, Ready or Not 2, has been confirmed.
Radio Silence, a team of filmmakers consisting of directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, recently announced news about Ready or Not 2. This was reported by Deadline. The pair are well-known for directing the 2019 hit movie, which currently has a high critical rating of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes.
In the upcoming sequel “Ready or Not 2”, Samara Weaving will once again take on the role of Grace, with Radio Silence back in action. In the last movie, Weaving played the young bride who married into a bizarre family. On her wedding day, she was compelled to participate in a gruesome game, eventually discovering the sinister nature of her in-laws.
In a previous interview, the actress who stars in Scream VI made it clear that she is eager to rejoin the franchise. She said, “I’m fully committed. I believe everyone involved is as well. I don’t think we’ve formally sealed the deal yet, but almost,” implying a strong level of commitment. She further explained, “We’ve exchanged spit shakes, but we haven’t gone as far as cutting each other and mingling our blood yet.
The screenplay for Ready or Not 2 is being written by Guy Busick and Ryan Murphy, who will also act as executive producers. At this point, a specific release date hasn’t been given yet. But we can expect more details about the sequel’s premiere schedule and main filming soon.
