As a thrilled fan, I’m excited to share that the trailer for the upcoming music action comedy from Grammy-nominated rapper Logic, produced by Paradise Records, has finally been unveiled! This sneak peek is a tantalizing promise before its grand premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival on June 6.

What happens in the Paradise Records trailer?

In this video, we meet Logic as a beleaguered record store proprietor striving to stay afloat amidst continuous squabbles and camaraderie with his staff and eccentric clientele. The narrative will delve into some of Logic’s genuine life encounters, such as grappling with his multiracial identity and navigating the challenges posed by societal expectations.

Apart from starring in the film, the rapper took on multiple roles including writing, directing, and producing the project, marking his first full-length directorial effort. Known for its blend of humor and emotion, Paradise Records boasts an impressive cast that includes Tramayne Hudson, Reed Northup, and Mary Elizabeth Kelly. The film is further anticipated to include guest appearances from Kevin Smith, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ron Perlman, Martin Starr, Jason Mewes, David Krumholtz, Tony Revolori, Kevin Corrigan, Juicy J, and Bobby Lee. In addition to acting in the movie, Smith is also credited as its editor and executive producer.

In the movie, I’m Cooper, the owner of Paradise Records, struggling to keep my store afloat amid foreclosure threats, loan rejections, constant property offers, and then a robbery on top. It’s a tough day indeed. But luckily, I’ve got an eccentric team of employees who provide plenty of laughter, and a stash of weed that helps me navigate through this financial quagmire.
