Ranga with Lalettan: Mohanlal says 'Eda Mone' as he shares unseen pic of Fahadh Faasil kissing him

As a lifestyle expert with a rich background in the film industry, I must say that witnessing the camaraderie between Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Fahadh Faasil is nothing short of a delight. Their shared history, dating back to the days when Mohanlal made his acting debut under Fazil’s direction in Manjil Virinja Pookkal, adds a touch of nostalgia that warms the heart.

On August 11th, Sunday, Malayalam cinema icon Mohanlal ignited social media discussions by posting a photo with actor Fahadh Faasil. In the image, they are embracing warmly, and Fahadh affectionately kisses Mohanlal on his cheek. Notably, Mohanlal made his acting debut in the 1980 film “Manjil Virinja Pookkal,” which was directed by Fazil, Fahadh Faasil’s father.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I recently came across a captivating post by Mohanlal on Instagram, where he shared a heartwarming image accompanied by the phrase, “Eda Mone! Love You.” Interestingly, this endearing statement is derived from one of the popular dialogues in Fahadh Faasil’s latest box-office hit, Aavesham.

In the picture, Mohanlal is spotted sporting a stylish, printed shirt and matching brown pants, contrastingly, Fahadh Faasil is clad in blue jeans and a crisp white shirt.

As a devoted admirer of the Malayalam film industry, I’m thrilled to share that I had the pleasure of seeing two exceptional actors, Mohanlal and Fahadh Faasil, reunite recently. This duo, renowned for their natural acting prowess, previously graced the screen together in the 2013 movie Red Wine. The latest instance of their collaboration was at Mohanlal’s residence in Kochi, following the online release of the trailer for Manichitrathazhu 4K. It’s moments like these that make me feel truly fortunate to be a part of this vibrant cinematic community.

It’s worth noting that Manichitrathazhu, which was first released in 1993 and directed by Fazil – Fahadh’s father, is getting a remastered release on the 17th of this month.

Mohanlal and Fahadh Faasil’s projects

At the moment, Mohanlal is occupied with filming two of his ongoing projects: Lucifer 2: Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, and L360, helmed by Tharun Moorthy. Additionally, he’s set to appear in Sathyan Anthikad’s upcoming movie, marking their reunion after nine years apart. There are whispers that Mohanlal might collaborate with the up-and-coming director Krishaand on a new venture as well.

Instead of Fahadh Faasil, we find him wrapping up his scenes for Allu Arjun’s nationwide film Pushpa 2. In addition to this, he is set to appear alongside legends Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth in the former’s Vettaiyan, a project slated for release later in the year. Interestingly, Fahadh has three Malayalam productions on his agenda as well. These include working with director Althaf Salim on a film titled Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, collaborating again with Drishyam’s Jeethu Joseph, and joining forces with veteran writer/director Renji Panicker for an upcoming project.
