As a die-hard wrestling fan, I’ve been caught up in the heated rivalry between The Viper (me referring to Randy Orton) and the ex-Universal Champion, Kevin Owens. In an attempt to cool things down between Owens and Cody Rhodes, it was I who found myself in the crosshairs of Owens’ wrath instead.
In the November 8th episode of WWE SmackDown, Kevin Owens performed a piledriver on Orton, causing him to temporarily leave the ring action. Fans anticipated that The Viper would reappear during the ladder match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble 2025, but it never came to pass.
This weekend, the anticipation is high among fans as WWE Elimination Chamber: Toronto approaches. There’s a buzz in the air due to rumors about Randy Orton potentially making his comeback. Recent reports suggest that the WWE has plans for Orton to return before their upcoming European tour, which has sent excitement levels soaring among fans.
Randy Orton is expected to be back ahead of WWE’s European tour
Based on PWInsider’s reports, it appears that WWE anticipates the return of Randy Orton by March. His anticipated comeback is set to occur before the WWE European tour, which sets the stage for WrestleMania 41. This tour kicks off with SmackDown on Friday, March 14, and concludes around two weeks later with RAW on Monday, March 31.
It’s anticipated that Orton will be back next month, possibly returning as early as this coming weekend on March 1st in Toronto. Meanwhile, Kevin Owens, who inflicted a crushing piledriver on Orton, is set to battle Sami Zayn in an Unsanctioned Match at the event.
At WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, there’s a chance Orton might interfere in Owens’ match, causing Owens to lose and potentially leading to both wrestlers facing off. This could deepen the tension between them even more. Previous rumors hinted at a planned Owens vs. Orton bout at WrestleMania this year, increasing the likelihood of their encounter significantly.
