Struggling to leave his past behind, he finds himself grappling with fitting in among his new peers. Despite his reluctance to engage in combat, he seems to attract trouble at every turn. When a friend is in need, Li decides to join a karate competition – however, his kung fu abilities alone aren’t sufficient for the task. In search of assistance, Mr. Han (Chan), Li’s kung fu instructor, brings in Daniel LaRusso (Macchio) from the original Karate Kid to help, and Li learns a novel method of fighting by combining their two martial arts styles into one formidable technique for an epic showdown.
