As a die-hard fan of Tamil cinema, I am absolutely thrilled by the news that Nelson Dilipkumar is teaming up with the legendary Rajinikanth for Jailer 2! The first installment was a blockbuster hit and I can’t wait to see what this dynamic duo has in store for us.
Presently, Nelson Dilipkumar is actively marketing for his first film production titled “Bloody Beggar,” featuring Kavin as the main character. During a recent interview on The KSR Show hosted by KS Ravikumar, the director has revealed that his next project will be “Jailer 2” with Rajinikanth.
Director Nelson has shared that he doesn’t currently have any other films scheduled in between, and his next project will be working on a film featuring Rajinikanth. When asked if the superstar has any other projects following his movie Coolie with Lokesh Kanagaraj, Nelson laughed and suggested, “You’d need to ask him about that directly.
It’s been creating a stir for a while now: Rumors abound that Rajinikanth and Nelson are teaming up again. Their upcoming project is supposed to be the sequel of their successful 2023 film, Jailer.
In the initial film with Rajinikanth in the main character, he portrayed a former prison guard living peacefully with his kin. Yet tranquility is shattered when his cop son vanishes and is believed to have perished.
Later on, the father embarks on a rampage of vengeance that evolves into both a revenge mission and a heist. Apart from the lead actor, the movie features Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vasanth Ravi, Mirnaa Menon, Yogi Babu, Sunil, among others in significant roles. Furthermore, there were brief appearances by actors Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff within the film as well.
In the future, Nelson is embarking on his first production project titled Bloody Beggar. The film, which marks Sivabalan Muthukumar’s directorial debut, is a unique blend of black comedy and drama. In this movie, Kavin takes on the role of a beggar.
The movie centering around a beggar’s hardships features actors such as Redin Kingsley, Maruthi Prakashraj, Sunil Sukhada, T. M. Karthik, and others in secondary roles. This Tamil-language production is set to hit theaters on October 31, 2024, aligning with Diwali festivities this year.
Proceeding further, I’m excited to share that I’m closely tracking the progress of the action film Coolie, helmed by the talented Lokesh Kanagaraj. In this venture, stalwarts like Nagarjuna Akkineni and Upendra Rao are set to grace the screen in pivotal roles. Notably, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, and Sathyaraj will also be playing significant parts in the film.
