2025’s World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) is happening right now in Mumbai on May 1st. This distinctive four-day event, themed as ‘Connecting Creators, Connecting Countries’, is attracting many notable figures. Over the course of four days, this significant gathering, known as WAVES, will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC). WAVES is being touted as an innovative event that aims to transform India into a leading global center for creativity and entertainment.
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is preparing to kick off the summit this morning. The event began at 10 a.m., featuring a musical invocation by MM Keeravaani and a 30-piece orchestra. Actor Sharad Kelkar narrated Sutradhar Reinvented, a unique segment highlighting India’s rich storytelling heritage.
The evening’s schedule is equally impressive, featuring music legends such as Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Yella Venkateswara Rao, and Ronu Majumdar. In addition, Shreya Ghoshal, the Tetseo Sisters, KING along with Alan Walker, and Anupam Kher are also scheduled to take the stage.
The guest list is filled with notable personalities. It includes legends such as Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, and Mohanlal, along with popular figures like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Additionally, filmmakers like Karan Johar, SS Rajamouli, and Zoya Akhtar are set to attend.
Prominent figures in technology such as Ted Sarandos from Netflix, Neal Mohan of YouTube, and Adam Mosseri from Instagram are also attending. The event WAVES 2025 is now prepared to host a remarkable and memorable gathering that showcases innovation and creativity.
