Reports indicating a supposed dispute between Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot on the set of Snow White have been proven false.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve just stepped into Disney’s magical world as Snow White hits the big screen across the United States! This time around, it’s the visionary Marc Webb at the helm, breathing life into a captivating live-action adaptation of the timeless classic, Walt Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, first released in 1937. Can’t wait to see this enchanting tale unfold on the silver screen!
What is the recent update about Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot’s reported Snow White feud?
In the making and distribution of Disney’s Snow White, there have been various debates due to the contrasting political viewpoints expressed by Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler, most notably on the Israeli-Palestinian issue. This has sparked speculation among some that they may have had disagreements throughout the film’s development, production, and release.
According to a recent report from Variety, however, this is not the case.
The article shares that contrary to media reports suggesting tension, there was a friendly relationship between the two Snow White leads during filming. Sources indicate that any awkwardness occurred prior to release. For instance, Zegler playfully referred to Gadot as “a professional pageant queen” in an Instagram post following their joint presentation at the Oscars this month, which might have been perceived as disrespectful towards a colleague.
Some people believe that Disney intentionally fostered the impression of a rivalry by arranging for the actresses to attend separate events during promotions. At the March 15 premiere, where traditional red-carpet interviews were avoided in favor of just taking photos, the two leading ladies were generally kept apart from each other. Within the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, Zegler was seated two rows ahead of Gadot and her family.
Disney’s reimagined Snow White is currently not breaking box office records, as shown by its earnings of approximately $86.1 million worldwide. With a production budget ranging from $240-270 million, the film has a significant distance to go before it recoups its costs and achieves profitability.
