Born on the 12th of July, 1990, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I find myself the daughter of Carol and Earl Brosnahan, who were deeply immersed in the world of children’s literature publishing.
Growing up with a British mom and an American dad who boasts Irish roots, I was raised in the vibrant town of Highland Park, Illinois, starting from when I was just four years old. I’m fortunate to have two amazing siblings – a younger brother and a younger sister – who share this unique heritage with me.
Rachel went to Wayne Thomas Elementary School initially, then moved on to Northwood Junior High School later. During her time at both schools, she was actively involved in musical theater productions.
During her time at Highland Park High School, she spent two years on the school’s wrestling team and also worked as an instructor in snowboarding.
