Actress Rachel Brosnahan, known for her role in Superman, shared in a recent chat that she enlisted a practitioner of the occult to break a travel-related hex. The movie based on DC Comics has earned approximately $262 million worldwide, surpassing its production budget of $225 million. Critics and fans alike have praised the film for its compelling narrative, strong performances, and thrilling action scenes.
Rachel Brosnahan talks about hiring a witch
In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actress from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel shared that she’s been dealing with a “travel jinx” for the past decade.
As I shared with Fallon, my journeys have been nothing short of overwhelmingly stressful, to put it mildly. Even the least taxing aspects of traveling seem to push me to the absolute limit of human endurance. To make matters worse, my companion during these trips isn’t DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran – unfortunately, he prefers to stay behind.
As I, a devoted fan, journeyed through my experiences, I shared the tale of this peculiar curse that many dismissed as mere folklore. However, it wasn’t until I embarked on these adventures that its reality became undeniable to me. Two instances stood out, one while filming a series in New Mexico and another when debuting a movie at Cannes Film Festival.
As a gamer, I recall that epic moment vividly. I was engrossed in a game set in the scenic landscapes of New Mexico, and simultaneously preparing for the debut of a film at Cannes. The production team graciously granted me 36 hours respite from the game to focus on promoting this movie. As I journeyed towards my destination, it was a breathtakingly sunny May day in New Mexico that filled my heart with joy.
Brosnahan added, “Suddenly, a catastrophic blizzard descended, turning everything completely white. By a hair’s breadth, I managed to make it.” However, she commented that they should not have allowed her on the plane despite her eventually arriving safely.
On her second occasion, she was headed to Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics. She reached out to her travel companions, who managed to board their flights. However, actress Lois Lane encountered a delay at Los Angeles airport, spending a lengthy “eight hours” there. Matters worsened when her luggage and reservations seemingly vanished.
Rachel Brosnahan admitted that, concerned about the upcoming Superman tour, she reached out to various individuals for advice and even inquired about the services of an “energy healer” or “spiritual reader from past lives.” She also expressed anger towards the person who supposedly placed a travel curse on her, referring to them as “small-minded.
After finding myself under a pesky travel curse, I decided to bring in some magical assistance. A witch, who appeared quite competent, agreed to help me out. She set up a wishing well and brandished her wand, diving right into the task at hand. Once we had gone over the necessary legalities with an NDA, she got down to business. I’m thrilled to say that not only was she skilled, but she was also successful in lifting the curse! It feels great to be able to travel freely once again.
