Quentin Tarantino Reveals Why He’s in ‘No Hurry’ to Make Last Movie

Quentin Tarantino‘s forthcoming film is rumored to be his final one, leaving fans eagerly anticipating updates. However, the renowned director has stated that he’s not rushing to start working on it.

What did Quentin Tarantino say about his last movie?

At the recent Sundance Film Festival, during a chat with film critic Elvis Mitchell (reported by Variety), director Quentin Tarantino mentioned his upcoming project. He revealed that although he’s still writing, he’s currently enjoying his role as a father to his kids.

Tarantino stated that he’s not rushing to start production just yet. He’s been there for three decades already. In a month, his son will be turning 5, and he has a 2.5-year-old daughter. When he’s in the U.S., he writes. And when he’s in Israel? Well, he becomes an ‘abba’, which is Hebrew for father.

Tarantino expressed his preference for waiting to make a movie until his kids are old enough to recall the experience of being on set and spending time there with their father.

Quentin Tarantino expressed his reluctance towards embarking on a project while his son is still too young to comprehend it. He prefers waiting until his son is at least 6 years old so he can understand the film and be part of the experience, creating a lasting memory for him. Jokingly, he added that his daughter is already so smart she’ll easily grasp it.

Presently, Tarantino is engaged in penning a theatrical production. He’s not anticipating it to expand beyond this format, but if it gains sufficient popularity, he hinted that it might become his final film.

He mentioned that if you’re curious about his current activity, he’s busy composing a play and he anticipates this could be his next project. If the play fails miserably, he likely won’t adapt it into a film. However, should it turn out to be a massive success, it could potentially be his last movie.
