As an ardent fan of Tarak Ponnappa, I must say that his journey from being a relatively unknown face to becoming a household name through his captivating performances is nothing short of inspiring. The uncanny resemblance between him and Krunal Pandya, fueled by the viral memes, has only added to the intrigue surrounding Tarak’s character in Pushpa 2: The Rule.

In a flash, Tarak Ponnappa’s distinctive balding appearance from the popular Jathara sequence in Pushpa 2: The Rule sparked widespread conversation. Yet again, he drew attention as fans noticed striking similarities between his portrayal of Buggi Reddy and Indian cricketer Krunal Pandya. Now, the actor has responded to the memes and buzz surrounding this likeness.

Tarak Ponnappa shared during a Zoom conversation that he too had chuckled at the striking similarity between himself and Krunal. Yet, it’s worth noting that Tarak highlighted Krunal as being far more good-looking than him. Moreover, he expressed feelings of sadness as people often drew comparisons between his villainous character in the film and Krunal, who is known for his positive and kind demeanor.

Tarak noted, “Krunal has been incredibly kind, considerate, and delightful. He even shared a post, expressing his enjoyment of the film, and offering congratulations. In response, Krunal is gracefully handling the situation by not taking it negatively. This gesture of his is commendable.

The actor summed up that so far even this comparison appears like a positive response to his role in the film. Moreover, he revealed enjoying the limelight and attention he has received because of the same.

Tarak Ponnappa shared insights on how he landed a role in Sukumar’s project. He explained that his journey began when he connected with an executive at the film production company, Mythri Movie Makers.

Yet, it was only two years later that he managed to connect with the movie crew, a point in time when he had more or less assumed the casting for the Allu Arjun-led film was already over.

To put it simply, Tarak Ponnappa mentioned that he received the contact information of an associate director. Since he wasn’t certain about the project this person was involved in, he went ahead and shared his professional portfolio along with his demo reel instead.

Additionally, Tarak has built a notable reputation for himself through earlier endeavors such as Yash’s KGF and Devara starring Jr NTR.
