PS Plus subscribers can still play fun multiplayer game online despite getting delisted from PSN store

For the month of May 2025, the PS Plus free games have been unveiled, boasting a respectable lineup. Included is Balatro, an acclaimed and captivating title, ARK Survival Evolved remake – Ascended, and the pulse-pounding Warhammer 40K Boltgun. Though these games will be accessible to all PlayStation users in the near future, an added bonus for PS Plus subscribers is that a popular multiplayer game, originally offered as part of Essential, can still be played online even after being removed from the PSN store.

In February 2023, Evil Dead The Game was among the must-have freebies along with Olli Olli World, Mafia: Definitive Edition, and Destiny 2: Beyond Light.

Sadly, it appears Evil Dead The Game has been removed from various digital storefronts such as the PSN store. This development may be upsetting since it signifies the game will no longer receive updates or new content. However, there’s a silver lining: Saber Interactive has confirmed that they will keep the servers active.

Through a post on Steam, Saber Interactive announced that they have initiated the procedure for taking the game off various digital marketplaces. However, those who have already bought the game can continue playing since the company intends to maintain its servers for all users.

This is great news! If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber and grabbed the game in February 2023, you can still enjoy online play whenever you decide to fire it up. Additionally, there are engaging single-player missions within the game that are equally enjoyable.

If you’ve never tried Evil Dead The Game, it’s definitely worth checking out because it’s really entertaining. You can choose to play as characters like Ash and other favorites from the films and the TV series “Ash vs. Evil Dead”, or you can opt for the powerful Kandarian Demon. It offers a fun, gory experience with more depth than you might expect, making it worth experiencing if you’re a fan of horror movies, multiplayer games, or just the franchise in general.

In other PS Plus news, the release date for the next day-one free game has been confirmed.
