PS Plus July 2025 free games reveal date, confirmed games and new demo out now

Wow, what a thrilling month for any PlayStation gamer like me! I’ve finally gotten my hands on Death Stranding 2, and it’s already making waves as one of the top games of 2025, with its Metacritic score surpassing even the original. The PS5 exclusive is a real treat, but the anticipation for the upcoming PS Plus July 2025 free games is building! We’re just on the edge of the reveal date, and I can hardly contain my excitement about the confirmed titles for next month. To top it off, they’ve added a fresh new demo to the Premium tier, making it all the more enticing!

PS Plus July 2025 free games reveal date

The date when Sony unveils the free PS Plus games for July 2025 is scheduled for June 25th. Usually, they announce the lineup a week before the release date, which happens to be Wednesday. According to their PlayStation Blog post for June, these games will be available starting July 1st.

On July 9th, we’ll disclose details about both Extra and Premium packages. The confirmed launch date for these packages is July 15th.

Don’t forget to pick up your current Essential games as they will expire on June 30th. Among those available now are NBA 2K25, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Destiny 2 The Final Shape, and the impressive Alone in the Dark Remake.

Confirmed PS Plus July 2025 games

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited to share that only two titles have been confirmed for the PlayStation Plus lineup in July 2025 so far – Twisted Metal 3 and 4! Mark your calendars, fellow gamers, as both games are set to join the Premium tier on July 15th. For those who aren’t subscribers yet, you’ll have the chance to purchase these thrilling titles from the PSN store later in the month. Can’t wait!

Beyond Twisted Metal 3 and 4, Sony’s State of Play event in June also announced a day-one release for the upcoming game Sword of the Sea, which will be available in August. This intriguing title is particularly favored by former PlayStation president, Shuhei Yoshida, who referred to it as his “preferred” choice from Summer Game Fest.

It’s expected that both the initial versions of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 will be included in the PS Plus service at a later point this summer, implying they might become part of the Premium library as early as August.

PS Plus July 2025 games leaving

Below are all the games known to be leaving Extra and Premium for PS Plus on July 15th:

  • Dying Light 2 (Extra)
  • Remnant II (Extra)
  • Mount & Blade II Bannerlord (Extra)
  • Vampire The Masquerade – Swangsong (Extra)
  • Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core Reunion (Premium)
  • Job Simulator (Premium)

It’s great news that only six games are about to be removed from the lineup, which is significantly less than what we had in previous months. If you’re looking for an engaging action game, consider giving Dying Light 2 a try before its sequel, The Beast, releases in August. For those craving a rich medieval RPG with massive battles, Mount & Blade II Bannerlord is definitely worth checking out. Don’t miss out on these games as they’re leaving soon!

New Premium demo

For Premium members, there’s now an opportunity to experience Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 demo! This means you can play the initial two hours of the game without making any purchases. In this timeframe, you’ll encounter the Sandman in an exhilarating boss fight, where you switch between Peter Parker and Miles Morales. This battle offers a tantalizing glimpse into the game’s grand scale.

Regarding PlayStation updates, Death Stranding 2’s performance setting is exceptionally streamlined, making it a clear preference for gamers.
