Without a doubt, all that’s been mentioned is thrilling, yet PlayStation subscribers can’t help but be on the edge of their seats in anticipation for the unveiling of the PS Plus Extra and Premium editions. In just a few days, we might finally get the big reveal, and if rumors are true, it seems we could be seeing more of everyone’s favorite robot, Clank!
PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2024 games reveal date
The date when Sony will announce the August 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium games is set for August 14th. Typically, they unveil these games a week after the release of Essentials on a Wednesday, so we can expect the update next Wednesday since the August 2024 Essential titles were released on August 6th.
Following the unveiling of the games, it’s time for them to take place on August 20th. Regarding the essentials scheduled for September 2024, they will likely be revealed on August 28th, with a definitive launch set for September 2nd.
To ensure you don’t miss out, be sure to grab this month’s games before they run out. Standout titles include Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. However, Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, a stunning 2D action RPG with captivating artwork, is also worth mentioning.
Possible Premium leak
One potential game leak for the Premium subscription this month is Secret Agent Clank. This was hinted at by influencer realradec on Twitter, as PlayStation reportedly sent out an email advertising PS Plus, highlighting Secret Agent Clank for the Premium tier along with Summoner, Jeanne d’Arc, and Job Simulator.
The email you received on July 30th confirmed that the Premium additions for July 2024 would feature Summoner, Jeanne d’Arc, Job Simulator, as well as additional games mentioned in the message. However, instead of Secret Agent Clank, it was Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters that was added to the lineup last month.

It appears that Sony may have mixed up the title of a Ratchet and Clank spin-off game. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Secret Agent Clank could potentially join the Premium lineup at some point, though we’ll need to wait and see if it happens in August.

It’s unfortunate that everything mentioned here is about to depart. NBA 2K24 seems logical given the upcoming release of NBA 2K25, and it’s worth giving Destroy All Humans a try since they offer enjoyable nostalgic trips with platinums that aren’t too challenging. SpellForce III is another great RPG, while Lost Judgement is an exceptional Yakuza spin-off featuring detective elements.
It’s yet unknown exactly when they’ll release, but both Wuthering Waves (for PS5) and Genshin Impact 5.0 are on schedule for a launch – with Genshin Impact 5.0 expected towards late August.
