On Republic Day, January 26th, I was thrilled to be part of the grand launch event for L2: Empuraan, as we unveiled the teaser. The occasion was made even more special by the presence of the entire cast and crew. During our celebration, Prithviraj shared insights about his film, but he didn’t forget to give a heartfelt shout-out to Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi. As we delved into discussing the trailer, he expressed it as one of the finest trailers he has ever seen in Tamil cinema.
Prithviraj enthusiastically spoke highly of the Vidaamuyarchi trailer and gave it his approval. He also shared his enthusiasm for the movie and voiced his expectations for its remarkable triumph. The Goat Life actor stated, “Vidaamuyarchi is set to premiere on February 6. I’m not sure if you’ve watched the trailer yet, but I have. In my opinion, it’s one of the best trailers in recent Tamil cinema. It’s wonderfully crafted; I can hardly wait for it. Here’s hoping it becomes a resounding success.

At the social event, Prithviraj disclosed an earlier proposition where he was offered the chance to direct the renowned actor, Rajinikanth. He revealed Lyca Productions had extended this offer, which he regarded as a valuable chance for a novice director such as himself. Nevertheless, he clarified that the project demanded immediate commencement, and he struggled to find a fitting storyline for Rajinikanth.
2019 saw Prithviraj disclose that Rajinikanth had discussed a project with him and extended an invitation for him to direct the superstar’s next movie. Regrettably, Prithviraj had to turn down this opportunity due to prior commitments on another film. Remarkably, he admitted to writing one of the longest apology letters in his life, which he addressed to Rajinikanth’s daughter, Aishwaryaa.
Meanwhile, L2: Empuraan is all set to hit the big screens on March 27.
