Prithviraj Sukumaran faces legal notice from IT department over film remuneration: REPORT

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but sing the praises of the brilliant Prithviraj Sukumaran! His latest masterpiece, L2: Empuraan, is nothing short of gold in my eyes. This film just keeps breaking records at the box office and earning worldwide recognition. It’s a cinematic triumph that I can’t get enough of!

Currently, there’s news circulating about Prithviraj receiving a legal letter from the IT department regarding the payment for certain films he’s starred in recently. Interestingly, this notice doesn’t concern Empuraan, but instead is a continuation of an earlier notice issued to him in 2022.

Meanwhile, it’s worth noting that Prithviraj Sukumaran’s movie, Empuraan, has broken records by becoming the first Malayalam film to earn an impressive Rs. 100 crores in global box office revenue.

The global earnings from the movie have surpassed 235 crores and keep climbing, showing no signs of decreasing as it keeps setting fresh records.

On April 1st, 2024, the movie featuring Mohanlal was re-released with an edited version due to the ongoing dispute about the film. It was reported that certain scenes caused offense to a particular political group, resulting in a total of 24 cuts being made.

The modifications made involved renaming the antagonist from Balraj Bajrangi to Baldev, excluding any references related to NIA, and omitting the acknowledgment of Minister Suresh Gopi in the movie’s appreciation slide.

Ever since the debut of L2: Empuraan, there’s been an overwhelming outpouring of admiration on social media platforms, as viewers enthusiastically share their appreciation for numerous elements of the movie.

Already, the creators have unveiled the next chapter called “L3: The Beginning,” where the exciting storyline will carry on.
