Spark Films recently unveiled a sneak peek of the highly-anticipated film titled “Primitive War,” an action-packed survival drama set against the backdrop of the Vietnam War. Adapted from Ethan Pettus’s 2017 novel, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters later this year.

What happens in the Primitive War teaser trailer?
The initial trailer showcases its principal actors, among them Ryan Kwanten, a veteran from True Blood, playing a soldier in a search and rescue unit. Their objective is to locate a lost platoon within an enigmatic valley shrouded by jungle, where they stumble upon ancient beasts. The clip offers glimpses of the film’s thrilling action scenes, as the team struggles to stay alive amidst the jungle.
As a fervent admirer, I’d like to highlight that “Primitive War,” a project close to the heart of Luke Sparke, not only dons the cap of director but also editor and production designer. This epic production boasts an illustrious cast including Tricia Helfer, Nick Wechsler, Jeremy Piven, Lincoln Lewis, Ana Thu Nguyen, Anthony Ingruber, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, Jake Ryan, Carlos Sanson Jr., Marcus Johnson, Henry Nixon, and Aaron Glenane. The visionary behind the camera is Wade Muller, serving as director of photography, while Luke Sparke, Carly Sparke, and Carmel Imrie are the dedicated producers.
The movie is centered around a story that Ethan Pettus loves, in which a rescue team called Vulture Squad is dispatched to an unexplored jungle valley to find out what happened to a missing Green Beret squad. As they delve deeper into the valley’s primeval mysteries, they stumble upon terrifying relics from the past that not only have the potential to shatter their sanity but also put their lives at risk, as they realize they are not the only ones there.
