Presence Teaser Trailer Previews Steven Soderbergh’s Mysterious Horror Movie

As a gamer who has survived countless terrifying encounters in the virtual world, I can confidently say that the new Presence teaser trailer has piqued my interest with its chilling atmosphere and intriguing plot. The mysterious nature of the house and the potential presence within it reminds me of those eerie abandoned buildings in survival horror games that always seem to hide something sinister.

A fresh trailer for a thrilling, enigmatic psychological horror film by renowned director Steven Soderbergh has just been released.

What happens in the new Presence teaser trailer?

Following the pattern set by the previous film teaser, the latest Presence trailer doesn’t reveal much about the movie. A quick glimpse shows a house from above, accompanied by text hinting that the house contains a family, hidden secrets, shocking actions, and ultimately, an eerie presence.

It’s been confirmed that the movie “Presence” will start screening in certain U.S. cinemas from January 17, 2025. As of now, we don’t have an exact date for a nationwide release.

The film Presence centers around a family who move into a new home, unaware that they might be sharing it with a possibly harmful presence. The cast includes Lucy Liu, Julia Fox, Chris Sullivan, Callina Liang, Eddy Maday, and West Mulholland.

Steven Soderbergh is particularly renowned for his Ocean’s heist movie trilogy – consisting of Ocean’s Eleven (2001), Ocean’s Twelve (2004), and Ocean’s Thirteen (2007) – but he has also directed a variety of other films, such as Sex, Lies, and Videotape in 1989, Out of Sight in 1998, Erin Brockovich in 2000, Solaris in 2002, Contagion in 2011, Magic Mike in 2012, Side Effects in 2013, Logan Lucky in 2017, Unsane in 2018, No Sudden Move in 2021, and Kimi in 2022.

Apart from “Presence,” Soderbergh is currently developing another film called “Black Bag.” Similar to “Presence,” this movie shares a screenplay by Koepp and falls under the genre of spy thrillers. The star-studded cast includes Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Regé-Jean Page, Marisa Abela, Naomie Harris, Pierce Brosnan, and Tom Burke. Scheduled to hit US theaters on March 14, 2025, “Black Bag” is distributed by Focus Features.
