As a seasoned gamer and die-hard fan of The Walking Dead saga, I must say that The Ones Who Live has truly stolen my heart. Having followed Rick and Michonne’s journey since the early days, I felt a deep sense of nostalgia watching this six-part limited series.
At its core, “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” is fundamentally an apocalyptic narrative centered around Rick and Michonne, but it principally delves into a profound love story. Over the years, these characters were apart as they battled various obstacles to reunite. This six-part limited series premiered in 2023 on AMC and AMC+, providing an engaging means of reacquainting viewers with this couple while enriching their narratives through flashbacks and contemporary events.
Enthusiasts of the television show “The Walking Dead” were overjoyed when Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira returned to play Rick and Michonne in the sixth offshoot of the original series, titled “The Ones Who Live“. This series wasn’t just about bringing Rick and Michonne back together; it concluded their narrative by also reuniting them with their kids, Judith (Cailey Fleming) and RJ (Antony Azur).
In this series, Pollyanna McIntosh reappeared as her character Warrant Officer Jadis Stokes from CRM, while Father Gabriel, played by Seth Gilliam, made a surprising appearance as well. The cast also features Lesley-Ann Brandt, Terry O’Quinn, Matthew Jeffers, Andrew Bachelor, Breeda Wool, Craig Tate, and Frankie Quinones.
“Beginning September 10, ‘The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live’ is set to hit shelves in Blu-ray and DVD formats. For ardent fans of the series who enjoy amassing physical copies, this latest addition to the TWDU collection is a must-have. Pre-orders are currently being accepted, with Amazon’s pre-order price guarantee providing an assurance that you’ll get the best deal available, even after your order has been placed. And if you’re an Amazon Prime member, you’ll enjoy free shipping as well!”
Can’t contain my enthusiasm as I eagerly await the Blu-ray and DVD release? Why wait, you can already watch The Ones Who Live on AMC+! Simply subscribe to AMC+ or add it to your Amazon Channels.
AMC has shared that some of its shows, such as “The Ones Who Live,” will soon be accessible on Netflix. The collaboration between the network and the streaming service has resulted in a substantial number of titles becoming available on Netflix starting August 19. This includes season 1 of the “Daryl Dixon” spinoff series and all eight seasons of “Fear the Walking Dead.” On January 13, 2025, two more titles, “Dead City” and “The Ones Who Live,” will also join Netflix. These shows will be added to the existing “The Walking Dead” series, which has all eleven seasons streaming on Netflix at that time.
