The first preview of Predator: Badlands has been made available, and it can be found down below, but according to Trachtenberg, there is even more in store for fans of the franchise that isn’t included in the new video footage.
On X, Trachtenberg expressed, “Here’s our initial sneak peek. Let me assure you, it only touches the tip of the iceberg. Coming to the LARGE screen on November 7th!!!
In a far-off future on an isolated alien planet, a young Predator named Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, shunned by his clan, teams up with Thia, played by Elle Fanning. Together they embark on a dangerous quest to find their most formidable enemy.
Dan Trachtenberg, who has directed films such as “10 Cloverfield Lane” from 2016 and “Prey” from 2022 (a Predator prequel), is set to release another Predator movie titled “Predator: Killer of Killers.” This animated film is scheduled for release on Hulu in the U.S. on June 6, 2025.
It’s yet unclear if there’s a more profound link connecting “Predator: Killer of Killers” and “Predator: Badlands”, as they both share the commonality of having a Yautja character.
As a history enthusiast and avid reader, I can’t help but express my excitement over this intriguing anthology story. It chronicles the tales of three formidable warriors from different eras: a Viking warrior navigating a blood-soaked path to revenge alongside her son, a ninja in feudal Japan who finds himself at odds with his Samurai brother in a ruthless struggle for power, and a WWII pilot on a mission to unravel an otherworldly menace threatening the Allied forces. According to the official Killer of Killers synopsis, each of these warriors embodies lethal prowess, but they are all potential targets for their latest adversary – the ultimate slayer of killers.
20th Century Studios is set to unveil “Predator: Badlands” in U.S. cinemas on November 7, 2025.
