Prayaga Martin finally addresses rumors regarding Kochi drug case involving gangster Omprakash: 'I had gone...'

As a lifestyle expert with extensive experience in the entertainment industry and a keen eye for detail, I must say that the situation surrounding actress Prayaga Martin is intriguing. Given my background, I can empathize with her predicament, as celebrities often find themselves entangled in circumstances beyond their control due to association or proximity.

Actress Prayaga Martin and actor Sreenath Bhasi, from the movie “Manjummel Boys,” have reportedly been under investigation by the police due to rumors about their association with gangster Omprakash. According to a report by OnManorama, officials stated that the actors had visited Omprakash at his hotel in Kochi, where traces of drugs were discovered. However, Prayaga has since spoken up to explain her version of events and set the record straight.

In conversation with Manorama Online, the actress shared that she hung out with her friends at a hotel before departing at 7 PM to go to Kozhikode for an event. Prayaga clarified, “I’m not acquainted with Omprakash on a personal level. To set the record straight, I first learned about him when a journalist asked me questions during an interview.

She mentioned that she had traveled to Maradu’s hotel to see some friends. She explained that she needed to catch the Vande Bharat Express for an event the next day, so she spent a while in her friend’s room. She stated that she slept there for two hours, and unfortunately, the incident took place during her stay.

During their investigation, authorities apprehended Omprakash and his companion Shihas at a hotel, following a confidential informant’s tip regarding suspected drug transactions. The police found a minimal quantity of illegal substances as well as alcohol containers during the arrest.

Additionally, police authorities obtained blood samples to check if the alleged offenders had consumed substances prior to the Alan Walker concert in Kochi.

Regardless, as per the report, the court allowed Omprakash and his partner to be released on bail since the police failed to present sufficient evidence that the substances found in their possession were a significant amount for commercial purposes. Further examination of this case is ongoing.
