Actor Prakash Raj, renowned across India, recently shared his feelings of sorrow following the death of his 5-year-old son Sidharth. At an event, he discussed the overwhelming sense of helplessness he experienced during the funeral, having been married to Lalitha Kumari at that time.
According to ABP Live, Prakash Raj expressed that pain, such as the loss of his friend Gauri Lankesh and his son Sidharth, is deeply personal. Yet, he acknowledged he cannot be self-centered due to his responsibilities towards his daughters, family, and career.
Additionally, the actor expressed his preference for cherishing small pleasures in life over dwelling on sadness. Furthermore, Prakash Raj encouraged everyone to seek out sources of love and appreciate them, while accepting that death is an inherent aspect of existence. “I am only human; it saddens me, it pains me, it makes me feel utterly helpless. But then, let’s discover reasons to keep living. Death is inevitable, it’s always there,” he concluded.
For those not familiar, Prakash Raj tragically lost his five-year-old son Sidharth in a heartbreaking accident. In an interview with TOI, the actor shared that Sidharth was just five at the time of the incident. The unfortunate event occurred when he fell from a high table while flying a kite.
It’s noteworthy that Prakash and Lalitha have two daughters together, Meghana and Pooja, from their marriage. Following the death of his son, the relationship between him and Lalitha Kumari evolved significantly. They eventually parted ways in 2009. Post-divorce, Prakash Raj tied the knot with Pony Verma at the age of 45 in 2010. It’s important to note that since then, they have had a son named Vedhant.
