The developers of PowerWash Simulator, FuturLabs, have stated today that they will no longer provide support or updates for the virtual reality version of the game. In a statement, CEO Kirsty Rigden expressed regret to fans who had invested their time into the VR version, but assured them that the game and its DLC would continue to function without new content or updates in the future.
Rigden posted an explanation on PowerWash Simulator VR’s social media about ceasing support for the game, expressing regret and providing reasons behind the decision. One significant factor is that the VR aspect of the game is proving to be more expensive than it generates revenue. Given other projects in FuturLabs’ development pipeline, shifting resources to those projects became a necessary step to prevent potential layoffs.
