Poll Result: Bagheera, Bhairathi Ranagal or UI? Netizens pick the Best Kannada film released in 2024

As a cinephile and Kannada cinema enthusiast with over two decades of movie-watching experience under my belt, I must admit that 2024 has been quite a remarkable year for Kannada cinema. The variety and quality of films released this year have truly impressed me, and it’s always fascinating to see the diverse range of stories being told on screen.

The results of TopMob’s poll for Best Kannada Film of 2024 have been intriguing, to say the least. The clear winner, Bagheera, is a testament to the power of storytelling and the appeal of superhero films. I had the pleasure of watching it in the theater, and I was thoroughly entertained by its action-packed sequences and engaging narrative.

In second place, we have UI, a science-fiction, dystopian action film that has garnered significant attention since its release. I must admit, I found myself captivated by Upendra’s performance and the film’s unique premise.

Bhairathi Ranagal, a neo-noir action thriller, came in third. As someone who appreciates films that push the boundaries of genre, I can see why it resonated with many viewers. The prequel to Mufti, this film offers a compelling narrative and strong performances all around.

The remaining films received mixed reviews, but each one had its merits. It’s always fascinating to witness the creative endeavors of our talented Kannada filmmakers, even when they may not meet expectations.

In conclusion, it’s clear that Kannada cinema continues to evolve and innovate, offering audiences a wide range of stories and styles. I eagerly await the next poll from TopMob, as it provides an opportunity for us enthusiasts to share our opinions and engage in discussions about these wonderful films.

On a lighter note, I can’t help but wonder if Yuva Rajkumar will make a comeback in future polls or perhaps even on the big screen. After all, even the best of us have an off day now and then!

2024 saw a variety of Kannada films hit the screens, and as the year draws to a close, TopMob invited its passionate readers to participate in a poll to determine the Best Kannada Film of 2024. Films such as Bagheera, Martin, Yuva, Bhairathi Ranagal, UI were among those included in the poll. The poll generated a tremendous response, and now, the results have been compiled to reveal the winning film.

Based on the poll findings, Bagheera garnered the highest number of votes. Directed by Dr. Suri, this movie captured an impressive 31% of the total votes, making it undeniably the preferred choice among viewers. Consequently, it appears that Bagheera, starring Sriimurali, is widely regarded as the top Kannada film of 2024, according to online users.

For those unfamiliar, the story of Bagheera was personally written by Prashanth Neel. The superhero film ended its run with an impressive global box office collection of Rs. 30 crore. More recently, the movie became available in Hindi on the streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar, premiering from December 25th.

Moving forward, the movie that came in second place based on the survey findings is none other than the latest hit UI. This sci-fi, dystopian action film features Upendra as the main character and received an impressive 25% of the total votes.

Since its debut on December 20th, the movie has garnered considerable reactions from viewers, largely favorable feedback coming from fans as well as notable celebrities sharing their genuine thoughts on various social platforms.

Upcoming is the film Bhairathi Ranagal starring Shiva Rajkumar, which garnered approximately 19% of online votes in a poll. This Kannada-language neo-noir action thriller has already proven popular at the box office since its premiere.

Under the guidance of director Narthan, we have a film that serves as a prequel to the 2017 movie titled “Mufti”. Notable actors such as Rahul Bose, Rukmini Vasanth, Avinash, Devaraj, among others, take on significant roles in this production.

In a surprising turn of events, films such as Upadhyaksha, Martin, and Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi all garnered identical support, with 7% of the votes cast for each.

Each of these movies garnered a variety of reviews from both critics and audiences, with some positive feedback but also plenty of constructive criticism. Additionally, the performances didn’t quite meet the high expectations that were set for them.

Conversely, movies such as Bheema, Karataka Damanaka, and Bachelor Party garnered only a modest 4% of the votes each. Similarly, these films failed to impress at the box office and fell short of expectations.

Or:

In contrast, films like Bheema, Karataka Damanaka, and Bachelor Party received minimal support from voters, with each receiving just 4%. These movies also flopped at the box office, failing to meet their potential.

Sadly, Yuva Rajkumar’s movie ‘Yuva’ didn’t manage to gather any viewer votes, indicating that it didn’t do well in popularity contests or financially at the ticket counter.
