PlayStation 5 Pro Announced For $700 – This Is For The Players

As a long-time PlayStation enthusiast, I’ve been through my fair share of console generations, from the humble beginnings of the original PlayStation to the sleek and powerful PS4 Pro. The announcement of the PS5 Pro has left me, like many others, scratching my head.

With the latest PS5 Pro model, you won’t need to compromise between quality and speed. This advanced console will deliver the quality performance of a standard PS5 at 30 frames per second, or amp it up to 60 (or even 120 for compatible games). However, the question remains: is its price justifiable?

What Makes It A “Pro” Console?

Frankly not much. Namely, the PS5 Pro will have:

  • Upgraded GPU: 45% faster rendering for gameplay, making the experience much smoother.
  • Advanced Ray Tracing: allows the rays to be cast at double, and at times triple, the speeds of the current PS5 console.
  • AI-Driven Upscaling: AI-driven upscaling for improved frame rate consistency.

This will seamlessly blend the outcomes from both the performance and quality settings that are presently accessible on the PS5.

Is It Worth $700?

As a gamer, I was taken aback when I saw the whopping $700 tag on that new gaming setup. It sparked a wave of questions across the web: “Is this upgrade really worth such a hefty sum?” Judging by the general response, it seems like many folks aren’t convinced.

It seems excessive to ask gamers who already own a PS5 to spend $700, and it raises questions about why someone who hasn’t purchased a PS5 in the past four years would opt for the Pro model at that price point instead of choosing a more affordable standard edition.

Additionally, Sony didn’t manage to exclude any alleged “system-selling” games for the PS5 Pro during their showcase. All that was displayed on the console were older titles such as…

We’ll see how the PS5 Pro sells, but the first impression wasn’t great.

What do you think of the PS5 Pro? Will you buy one or if you already have a PS5 will you stick with the standard model?
