Playboi Carti is opening this week’s Billboard 200 at No. 1 with MUSIC.

In its initial week of release, the artist’s recent studio creation garnered a total of 298,000 units, equivalent to an album. This tally includes:

– Physical Album Sales (14,500 copies)
– Track Equivalent Album Units (500)

As of 2025, this album holds the title for the most significant debut week for a rap album this year. It trails slightly behind The Weeknd’s “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” which was released in February. Notably, this project marks Carti’s second No.1 album, following “Whole Lotta Red,” and his third top 10 effort, joining “Die Lit.” MUSIC
