At present, Rajinikanth is filming his next project, titled “Jailer 2,” in the city of Kozhikode, Kerala. Not long ago, the cast of the recently premiered movie “Padakkalam” had a memorable encounter with the esteemed actor.

In a social media post from Vijay Babu, both the producer and actor, an image emerged showing the main cast of Padakkalam, namely Suraj Venjaramoodu and Sharaf U Dheen, standing together with the renowned star, Rajinikanth.

The photo, showcasing the entire cast, was labeled by the producer: “Who is that smiling man? It was a privilege for our team #PADAKKALAM to receive congratulations from the legendary Superstar Rajinikanth on the success of our movie, who also sent us his warmest wishes.

For those not in the know, Rajinikanth has started filming for Jailer 2 in Kerala. Photos circulating online show the actor donning his famous character, “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian. Moreover, Kerala’s Minister of Tourism and Public Works Department, Muhammed Riyas, made a visit to the set.

Jailer 2 is the follow-up to the popular 2023 movie Jailer, once again directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The movie is rumored to have Nandamuri Balakrishna in a more prominent guest role. Furthermore, Fahadh Faasil, SJ Suryah, and Suraj Venjaramoodu are believed to assume significant parts, while Mohanlal may reappear as his previous character.

A modern, humorous fantasy-drama titled “Padakkalam” revolves around the story of four college students who are avid comic book enthusiasts. They begin to question whether their professor is secretly wielding supernatural abilities to manipulate another educator and sabotage his professional journey.

Moving onto Rajinikanth’s upcoming projects, the beloved actor will grace the big screen on August 14, 2025. This film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, promises action and entertainment, with Nagarjuna Akkineni and Upendra Rao joining as co-stars.
