As a die-hard fan of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, I must say the anticipation for their upcoming collaboration, “Thug Life,” has reached an all-time high! The fact that they’ve wrapped up shooting and Netflix has reportedly bought it for a staggering 149.7 crores just adds fuel to the fire!

The film, which is expected to hit theaters in 2024, has already intrigued audiences with sneak peeks and posters. According to a recent report from Deccan Herald, the producers of Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life have been acquired by streaming giant Netflix for an impressive deal worth approximately 149.7 crores. This suggests that the Mani Ratnam-directed film has already outshone numerous other blockbuster movies backed and bought at high prices by Netflix.

As a fervent admirer, I eagerly await the collaboration between Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan, a long-anticipated reunion of this esteemed actor-filmmaker duo. In fact, I myself, as the star of Vishwaroopam, have had the privilege to co-write this film alongside Mani Ratnam.

Speaking about the movie’s talented cast, Thug Life boasts an impressive roster of actors that include Trisha Krishnan, Simbu (Silambarasan), Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Ashok Selvan, Jisshu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra, and others.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: Rumors swirl that Dulquer Salmaan and Jayam Ravi were initially tapped for the role in Thug Life. But with production delays cropping up, these talented gentlemen had to step away from the project, much to our disappointment.
