Originally teased at PFW in June, it will be released as a pre-launch exclusive through A Ma Maniére Atlanta. The larger-than-life version of this popular design is coming out in its traditional color schemes of “Off White” and “Core Black.” Priced at $200 USD, a broader launch is anticipated within the coming weeks. On Tuesday at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, Pharrell revealed more than just Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2025 menswear line; he also showcased his new collaboration with adidas – a set of three Superstar sneakers.
At the forefront is the Superstar 92, or “Double Wide,” as it’s occasionally known, which significantly enhances its premium model with an expansive design. Boasting generous cushioning, this shoe reflects the oversized dimensions of ’90s skate sneakers and ski boots, following the brand’s aesthetic.
Significantly, Pharrell initially previewed the statement shape in April, as he was seen alongside BLACKPINK’s Rosé at Tiffany’s “Wonder” exhibition in Tokyo during that month. Later on, he provided clues about the rest of the collaboration through his Instagram account @skateboard.
During Paris Fashion Week, models 92, 72, and 82 were spotted together. Model 72 and 82 have been seen on P’s friends before. The style of model 72 plays with the sporty trends from the ’70s, while model 82 showcases a more refined look that harks back to the ’80s.
Pharrell explained in a statement, “We designed three distinct Superstars for a purpose. Instead of attempting the unattainable task of creating one style for everyone, we drew inspiration from various decades. We’ve captured the casual running aesthetic of the ’70s, the sophisticated elegance of the ’80s, and the bold design elements of the ’90s. Our goal was to provide the world with a Superstar that aligns with each individual’s unique identity.
