Comedian Pete Davidson, previously with Saturday Night Live, is discussing potential roles in an upcoming bank heist film called “How to Rob a Bank,” produced by Amazon MGM Studios. This project is under the guidance of director David Leitch, known for his work on John Wick and Bullet Train.
Davidson’s latest roles were in the crime-comedic film “Riff Raff” and the animated action-adventure movie “Dog Man”. If his agreement for “How to Rob a Bank” is confirmed, it would be another project with Amazon MGM Studios, where he is also working on the upcoming Eddie Murphy action comedy “The Pickup”. Coming up next, he will appear in the comedy film “Wizards!” alongside Naomi Scott and Orlando Bloom.
Who is involved in How to Rob a Bank?
As a thrilled fan, I’m excited to share that I’ll be watching “How to Rob a Bank,” a film directed by the talented Leitch, based on a screenplay penned by Mark Bianculli. The star-studded cast will be headlined by Nicholas Hoult, who you might recognize from his roles in X-Men and soon as Lex Luthor in James Gunn’s Superman movie. This captivating project is being produced by the dynamic duo Leitch and Kelly McCormick under their 87North production banner. It’s a production jointly with Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum from Imagine Entertainment, with Bianculli also contributing as an executive producer.
Initially unveiled in February, this upcoming project is said to feature a team of clever bank robbers who employ social media to chronicle their crimes, engaging in a game of hide and seek with law enforcement. As of now, there’s no set release date for the project.
Apart from working on a heist film, Leitch is also set to direct Andrew Garfield in the upcoming TV series titled “Hot Air.” Additionally, news broke in January that Leitch was in talks to take the director’s chair for Ocean’s 14, a project by Warner Bros.
