As a hardcore fan of Percy Jackson and the Olympians since I first read Rick Riordan’s books in my teenage years, I’m beyond excited to learn that Disney Plus has found an actor for the beloved character Tyson in season two! And what’s more, Daniel Demier – who currently stars in Hulu’s Under the Bridge and has previously appeared in Supercell, The Midnight Club, and The Half of It – will be bringing the young cyclops to life.
In the second season of Disney Plus’s “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series, a new actor has been cast to portray the beloved character Tyson.
During San Diego Comic Con, Daniel Demien was announced as the new cast member taking up the part of Cyclops Tyson in Disney Plus’ adaptation of Rick Riordan’s Greek mythology-based young adult series, “Under the Bridge.”
Tyson, a young and solitary Cyclops, grew up on the harsh streets, struggling to fit in among humans. He’s shy and clumsy, with an enormous heart. Unexpectedly, Tyson learns that Poseidon is his father, making Percy Jackson his brother. This revelation brings new hope for Tyson, as he may have finally found a place where he truly belongs.
Currently on Hulu, you can find Deimer in the show “Under the Bridge,” an adaptation of the highly praised book with the same title. Previously, he acted in “Supercell,” “The Midnight Club,” and “The Half of It.”
