In the initial phase of Monday’s game against the Pistons, which ended in a score of 127-81, Murphy suffered a shoulder dislocation while attempting to retrieve a loose ball. Murphy was having an exceptional season, reaching career highs in several categories. On average, he scored 21.6 points, grabbed 5.2 rebounds, and dished out 3.6 assists over 52 games. He managed to shoot accurately at 45.4% from the field and 36.1% from beyond the arc, attempting 8.4 shots per game (as per NBA data). Compared to last season, his scoring average saw a significant boost of 6.4 points. Moreover, this was his third consecutive year with over 150 successful three-point shots.
