George Gountas, who won a contest for looking like Pedro Pascal, was recently featured on The Daily Show. During the show, he was interviewed by Jon Stewart. Interestingly, Stewart confessed that he hadn’t previously recognized Gountas’ likeness to Pascal.

Stewart inquired from Gountas about his participation in the likeness competition, and Gountas shared that it was stage manager Tyler Goldman who had texted him regarding the contest, encouraging him to “go claim a year’s worth of free burritos” – which was the reward.

Later on, he disclosed that his neighbor, who is a stylist, generously gave him trousers, footwear, and spectacles. However, he advised him to buy a shirt as well.

At the Pedro Pascal doppelganger competition, Gountas unexpectedly showed up without prior registration. Once there, those attending informed him that he would be taking home the victory.

Stewart inquired if Gountas and Pedro Pascal were approximately the same age. Gountas stated he would be turning 43 next week, implying that Pascal was slightly older than him. Born in 1975, Pascal is now 50 years of age.

Stewart then called Gountas “a sexier, younger Pedro Pascal,” which the latter appreciated.

Jenny Gania, Gountas’ spouse, shared with The New York Post that it was after the release of Game of Thrones that people began pointing out a striking similarity between Gountas and Pascal.

Later on, some children also observed it, as Gania pointed out. She explained that when she initially discovered the competition, she convinced Gountas to attend, describing it as a special “Father’s Day gift” for him.
