New Peacemaker Season 2 posters reveal when the next trailer for the DCU show will be released.
The second season of “Peacemaker,” produced by James Gunn, will debut on HBO Max in the upcoming month. In this continuation, John Cena returns as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, joined by Danielle Brooks’ Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma’s Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Jennifer Holland’s Emilia Harcourt, and Steve Agee’s John Economos.
When will the new Peacemaker Season 2 trailer be released?
Two new Peacemaker Season 2 posters have now been released and can be viewed below.
On a recent post from their official account, HBO X announced that they’ll unveil the Peacemaker Season 2 trailer this coming Saturday, July 26, 2025, as part of San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). The Peacemaker panel at SDCC Hall H kicks off at 3:30 p.m. (Pacific Time) and runs for an hour, so fans can anticipate the trailer drop during this time.
Apart from the previously mentioned characters, Peacemaker Season 2 will feature Frank Grillo returning as Rick Flag Senior, a character first introduced in 2024’s Creature Commandos and later appearing in a minor role in 2025’s Superman. As the head of A.R.G.U.S., Rick Flag Senior is set to pursue Peacemaker in Season 2, seeking vengeance for his son’s death while also attempting to bring him to justice.
In this production, Tim Meadows takes on the role of Langston Fleury, an agent for A.R.G.U.S., while Michael Rooker is cast as Red St. Wild, a skilled hunter who’s after Eagly. Additionally, it has been announced that Isabela Merced portrays Hawkgirl/Kendra Saunders, Nathan Fillion plays Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, and Sean Gunn appears as Maxwell Lord.
The initial series of “Peacemaker,” launched in January 2023, acts as a sequel to “The Suicide Squad” and is set within the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Director Gunn has confirmed on numerous occasions that the second season of “Peacemaker” will tackle the change in continuity between DCEU and DCU.
Peacemaker Season 2 premieres on HBO Max on August 21, 2025.
