Paul Walter Hauser is opening up about The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
In July of this year, the movie “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” will hit theaters in the United States. This Marvel Cinematic Universe production is helmed by director Matt Shakman, and features Pedro Pascal portraying Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.
Hauser is part of the movie too, but it’s not yet certain which character he will portray. The ensemble cast also features Ralph Ineson playing Galactus, Julia Garner taking on dual roles as Shalla-Bal and Silver Surfer, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles.
What did Paul Walter Hauser say about The Fantastic Four: First Steps?
On the Sam Roberts Show on SiriusXM, Hauser shared insights into the upcoming Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four film, giving us a glimpse of what fans can anticipate.
Hauser stated, “Nowadays, anyone could potentially star in a Marvel film. For instance, Denzel Washington might appear in Black Panther 3. There have been whispers about this, with him and Coogler expressing interest. Essentially, if they manage to secure Denzel, they won’t need you. If you’re invited to the party, be polite, be professional, and aim to shine. I believe Marvel is in an exciting rebuilding stage. I don’t think I’m revealing any secrets.
Based on my observations, though I can’t reveal too much, let me tell you this: The brief time I spent on the set was quite exciting because they’re creating an impressive film. It’s a sophisticated, stylish Marvel production that centers around family as a significant theme. I believe the characters are so well-developed that you find yourself drawn to them. And that’s what makes a difference – when we don’t emotionally connect with the characters, it doesn’t matter how many times they’re put in danger. First, you need to make us care about them, and I think Marvel is working towards that again.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in United States theaters on July 25, 2025.
