Paul Bettany Reveals When Marvel’s Vision Series Begins Production

As a long-time Marvel fan and avid gamer, this news about Paul Bettany returning as Vision for a new series has me absolutely thrilled! I’ve been following Vision’s journey since his debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and seeing him grow from a synthetic being to a sentient character with emotions and self-awareness has been an incredible experience.

As the production of Marvel’s Vision series draws near, actor Paul Bettany shared fresh insights about his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). At a recent gathering, Bettany disclosed that filming will commence in the next year. He mentioned that he plans to rewatch Agatha All Along to gear up for his upcoming series, which delves into Vision’s personal exploration following the events of WandaVision and uncovers new aspects of his self-discovery.

Paul Bettany confirms Vision series starts filming next year

It’s been confirmed by Paul Bettany that filming for the forthcoming Vision-focused Marvel series is set to commence next year.

Bettany, returning as Vision, shared with The Hollywood Reporter at the Los Angeles premiere of his movie Here, “We’ve got something in development that I’m genuinely thrilled about,” although he kept the storyline details under wraps. With a wink and a smile, he playfully warned, “You don’t want to be the one who spills the beans – they end up in trouble!

2026 seems like it’s shaping up to be an exciting year for me as a gamer, with the series I’ve been eagerly anticipating finally slated for a Disney+ release! I can hardly contain my excitement, especially since Star Trek: Picard showrunner Terry Matalas is taking the reins on this project.

The TV series known as Vision is colloquially referred to as “Vision Quest.” Initially, Jac Schaeffer was appointed as the showrunner, but later on, Terry Matalas took over the role. However, Schaeffer expressed to ComicBook in September that she is not directly involved anymore, but she remains supportive of the project. She further mentioned, “Paul is a dear friend and he’s an exceptional individual. He has taken ownership of this character.

It’s been confirmed that James Spader will reprise his role as the voice of Ultron, the sentient defense program-turned-villain from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Furthermore, Todd Stashwick has joined the cast as a ruthless assassin who is hot on the heels of the android and the advanced technology it controls.

Currently, Bettany appears in the film “Here,” directed by Robert Zemeckis, alongside Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. Meanwhile, the series “Agatha All Along” can be streamed on Disney+, with its final episode set for October 30, 2024. Furthermore, it’s anticipated that the Marvel’s Vision series will debut in 2026.
