As a seasoned lifestyle expert with a rich background in cinema, I must admit that my anticipation for the upcoming film, Thangalaan, has reached unprecedented heights. Having had the privilege of witnessing the evolution of Tamil cinema over the years, I can confidently say that this film promises to be a masterpiece.
The movie titled “Thangalaan,” featuring Chiyaan Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, and Parvathy Thiruvothu, is set to premiere in cinemas on August 15, 2024. At a recent event prior to its release, actress Parvathy shared heartfelt compliments for her fellow cast members.
In her own words, the actress from Bangalore Days shared that working alongside Chiyaan Vikram had long been a cherished aspiration of hers. Moreover, she expressed this collaboration with PS 2 actor Vikram wholeheartedly and proudly, stating he was undeniably the finest co-star she’s ever had the pleasure of working beside.
Furthermore, she expressed, “Throughout the movie, Vikram takes center stage. He’s incredibly generous, not just toward you, but to everyone he collaborates with. I aspire to emulate you one day.”
As a fervent admirer, allow me to share an exhilarating encounter I once had – working alongside the legendary Chiyaan Vikram in our recent film production. In a captivating Q&A session on X (previously Twitter), the radiant Malavika Mohanan, my co-star, revealed her initial feelings about meeting him. With a charming giggle, she confessed to being starstruck upon their first encounter. Additionally, she candidly admitted to feeling rather awkward executing action sequences with him, as it was her inaugural foray into the realm of stunts.
The actress mentioned that Vikram had made her feel extremely at ease and was a wonderfully considerate costar. In the end, she admitted that it would have been unimaginable to embark on this journey without him, openly sharing her affection and admiration for him.
The film Thangalaan, helmed by director Pa Ranjith, stars Chiyaan Vikram and Malavika Mohanan in its main roles. This movie is set during India’s pre-independence era and narrates the story of a tribal chief who embarks on a mission to aid the British Army in mining gold from their village deposits.
As an over-the-moon fan, I can’t help but share the exhilarating plot twist that’s been keeping me on the edge of my seat: The story unfolds with a group of characters taking action, only to face the retaliation of a seemingly magical woman, who seems to be a sorceress. This clash between the tribal leader and the enigmatic woman promises an intriguing confrontation. Excitingly, this film is set to premiere on the big screens in August, coinciding with our country’s Independence Day after numerous postponements. The talented cast includes Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltagirone, Hari Krishnan Anbudurai, Vettai Muthukumar, Krish Hassan, and many more, gracing key roles in the film.
As a devoted enthusiast, I too eagerly anticipate the confrontation between the films “Double iSmart” featuring Ram Pothineni and “Mr Bachchan,” starring Ravi Teja, in the Telugu-speaking regions. Yet, it’s important to note that Thangalaan is a dubbed release, adding another intriguing layer to this cinematic rivalry.
