As a seasoned Guardian of the Last City, I’ve traversed through countless realms and battled the darkest foes in the name of Light. However, the latest Paranormal Activity challenge in Destiny 2 has left me scratching my head more than a Vex Mindbender.
In Destiny 2’s The Pale Heart, you’ll find mysterious paranormal activities scattered around. These are mini-puzzles that you encounter after assisting Ghosts during Micah-10’s missions. Completing these puzzles is essential for achieving the Paracausal Geometries Triumph. By using the Aura of Balance buff, you can connect two boxes together. Each time you solve a puzzle correctly, you receive a reward.
Paranormal Activity
In the game The Pale Heart, you’ll find 11 Paranormal Tasks to accomplish. Each task becomes accessible after finishing a solo mission given by Micah-10, known as Alone in the Dark. However, only one task will show up on your map at a time. You need to tackle them sequentially, as they become available. Though all the tasks seem hidden, completing Micah-10’s missions triggers an Aura of Balance at each pair of locations.
For simpler navigation, let’s pull up the map and trace the path of the Paranormal Activity. Stick to the marked waypoints leading us to our destination. There, you’ll encounter a serene blue orb symbolizing Aura of Balance, along with two containers nearby – one bearing a triangle mark and the other displaying a circle.
As a gamer, my mission is to strategically position myself so that I can simultaneously target two key areas: the Light circle (Light box) with a Light-infused weapon like Arc, Solar, or Void, and the Dark triangle (Darkness box) with either Stasis or Strand-based weapon. The challenge lies in finding the sweet spot where my weapons’ range can connect to both zones at once.
As you investigate Paranormal Activities, keep an eye out for the Visions of the Traveler related to Khvostov 7G-0X and nearby Prismatic Fragments too, since some of them are quite close.
The Transgression
As a fan, I’d put it like this: In the final stretch of the area where you encounter the Vision of the Traveler to obtain Khvostov 7G-0X, you’ll find a ghostly activity in a square room. The ghost seems to be making laps around the room. Activate the Aura of Balance, then search for the cubes located on either side of the room.
The Blooming
In the southwest part of The Blooming, you’ll find this puzzle. Reach for the aura, then traverse the ledges, eventually moving into the rear section (you might remember being teleported here during one of the Overthrow occurrences). To obtain both boxes simultaneously, position yourself on the small rocky platform overlooking the large rock and tree.
The Blooming Deep
As a fan, here’s my take: Right after entering the Lost Sector, I usually spot the first chest. The elusive Darkness-infused box is a bit deeper in. For a simultaneous view of both treasures, position yourself close to the Transcendent wellspring. If reaching them both from where you stand proves challenging, consider hopping onto the nearby ledge for a better angle. Happy hunting!
The Impasse
To find the Aura of Balance and the Darkness cube, head north from Impasse towards the ziggurat. On top of the nearby flat pillar by the stairs, you’ll have a clear view of both. Lastly, the Light box is located in the chasm that leads to Transgression.
The Lost City
In the heart of the Lost City, as I venture outside, the first Aura of Balance is immediately to my right upon reaching the outdoor area. Upon exiting, take a glance to the right where you’ll spot its radiant glow. Grab the buff, then stride forward into the open space. Near the bunting between the poles, there’s a quaint square structure – stand on it and gaze back in the direction I came. There, you’ll see a Darkness box to your right, and the Light box perched high above.
The Lost City, Outskirts
Head towards the designated spot for the upcoming Paranormal Activity in the Outer Region of The Forgotten City. Upon reaching the central square, search for the Radiance of Harmony, pick it up, and subsequently move to a side with some protruding rocks where the Spirit hovers above.
As a keen observer, I’d guide you towards a rightward-facing gate, beyond which stands the Light box. Aim carefully through its tiny opening, then swiftly turn your gaze to the left side. In the heart of the courtyard lies a tree with an intriguing hollow. Peer into it, and you’ll catch a glimpse of the Darkness box hidden within.
The Landing
The Light container is positioned right in the middle, while the Darkness container is near the waterfall to the south. From the base of the tree that grows within the structure, you’ll have a clear view of both.
The Refraction
As a gamer, “Inside Ikora’s vessel at The Refraction, you’ll find the enigmatic Aura of Balance. To locate it, ascend above her ship and scan the area near the cascading waterfall for a Darkness cube submerged there. Keep your eyes peeled, because the Light cube is hidden just below you, to the left and over the edge.”
The Seclusion
These crates are located in the region near the inverted tree grove, which is past Zavala’s residence. You can save time by using the teleportation device within the tunnels connected by ‘The Blooming’, thereby avoiding prolonged walking.
Upon entering the room, head towards the right side to find the Darkness cube hidden behind a column. On the opposite side of the room, you’ll notice a container shaped like a circle, which lies to your left and is situated close to the room’s exit.
The Divide
As an ardent admirer, I found two intriguing cubes nestled atop a snow-capped mountain, hidden within the remnants of a shattered aircraft. Remarkably, one cube was ensconced within the higher reaches of the plane’s wreckage, while another teetered precariously over the cliff’s edge.
The Forgotten Deep
In the central room, you’ll find the cubes along with a Lucent Hive Lightbearer. One cube, referred to as the “Darkness” cube, has fallen off the edge, while the other, known as the “Light” cube, is perched atop the yellow canopy.
After wrapping up all the Paranormal Activities, you can now triumph over the segments of the Paracausal Geometries to obtain The First Knife Exotic ship.
