Episode 1 of the show titled “Paradise” started streaming on Hulu and Disney+ two days prior to its official airing on Tuesday, January 28th. Though Season 2 has not been officially confirmed by Hulu, creator Dan Fogelman has hinted at a multi-season run for the series. In a recent conversation, he also shared some insights about when we might expect Season 2 of “Paradise”.
Dan Fogelman hints Paradise Season 2 could get a 2026 release date
Originally, it was known that Dan Fogelman, creator of Paradise, had planned a three-season journey for the show, consisting of eight episodes per season. Although Hulu hasn’t confirmed a second season yet, Fogelman hinted in an interview with Variety that he aims to continue the series within a year. Following the initial premiere, the subsequent five episodes will be released weekly, concluding with the finale on March 4.
Speaking about Season 2, Fogelman shared that they’ve nearly completed the writing process, stating, “We’ve almost got the entire season structured, and mostly written already.” He further explained his aim was to keep the show running, saying, “The challenge with streaming is when shows become popular, then take a long break. I want this series back on your screens within a year at the latest.
Based on when the interview took place, Fogelman might be considering a comeback for the show in 2025. Yet, given the reality of things, it’s more likely to debut in 2026, even if it gets renewed swiftly. The production process for TV shows can take quite some time, especially for ones that aim for eight episodes.
Fogelman has penned scripts for films like Tangled (2010), Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011), and The Guilt Trip (2012). He is responsible for the creation of the ABC sitcom “The Neighbors” and the NBC drama “This Is Us.” Of particular note is that the cast of “This is Us” includes Sterling K. Brown, who portrays the main character Xavier Collins in the series “Paradise” as well.
