For the enchanting life simulation game Palia by Singularity 6, there’s some fantastic news this month! It appears May is shaping up to be even more exciting. The Elderwood content expansion has been revealed for the game, introducing a fresh Adventure Zone in the shape of the Elderwood itself – a mystical and eerie forest steeped in magic. However, that’s not everything. Palia is also making its way onto PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, with both the console launch and Elderwood expansion being combined into one significant release and update in May 2025. As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but get excited about the upcoming content expansion in Palia, Elderwood! It’s not just a name; it’s an entirely new Adventure Zone that promises a treasure trove of delights for players who have journeyed with Palia thus far. Best of all, those who have been loyal to the story will be granted immediate access when Elderwood debuts in May.

This zone is a lush and enchanted forest shrouded in an eerie mystery that could easily pass for a Halloween setting. Yet, Singularity 6 doesn’t restrict spooky wonder to specific seasons, which means we’ll be diving into this Zone next month!

In this updated version, the developers label the Elderwood Zone as one of their most vertically structured areas so far, and it’s evident why. As you traverse the forest, you’ll encounter blooming flowers that act as trampolines among the trees for players to jump off. Soaring towards these bouncy blossoms on your glider provides a significant increase in hang time, allowing you another chance to use your glider. This isn’t just beneficial for maneuvering through the woods effortlessly; it also leads to unique discoveries that won’t be found on the forest floor. There’s plenty to uncover here as well. Fresh collectibles themed around various aspects of the woods have been hidden throughout, new creatures both hostile and elusive are waiting to be hunted down, and players will find an array of new items such as artifacts, plushies, fish, insects, and decorative pieces they can use to customize their homes.

Among the major novelties in Elderwood now is a brand-new gear system incorporating Relics. These Relics are entirely fresh, and items designed to contain them will offer you and your team unique, game-wide bonuses for your party. Whether you aim to gather resources more efficiently, travel at higher speeds, soar over greater distances, or discover additional enjoyable effects, the Relics will introduce new group-benefiting opportunities that players didn’t previously have access to.
