Dead by Daylight brings back 2v8 Mode with a Resident Evil twist

In a recent press release and teaser video posted on social media, Behaviour Interactive announced the reintroduction of the 2v8 Mode inspired by Resident Evil, in Dead by Daylight from February 10 to February 25, 2025. Two iconic characters – The Nemesis (from Resident Evil 3) and The Mastermind (Albert Wesker) – will join the game as Killers. These characters can infect and weaken players, but players can find crates containing green herbs to heal infections and yellow herbs to remove a hooked status. Interestingly, smashing the herbs can benefit the Killers by providing them with a speed boost.

It operates in a manner similar to before, where you select different tactics and then locate a “sweet spot” using your joystick to execute it successfully. Additionally, the trading-blows mini-game from 2K24 resurfaces with an impressive visual upgrade. These encounters now look fantastic and incorporate dynamic camera perspectives. All these elements contribute to an already entertaining experience that is steadily improving and reaching its peak potential.
