What is Paddington in Peru about?
The synopsis states that “Paddington in Peru” is filled with Paddington’s trademark humor, warmth, and hilarity. In this story, our beloved marmalade-loving bear finds himself lost in the jungle on a perilous, high-stakes adventure. Upon learning that his Aunt Lucy has gone missing from the Retired Bears’ Home, he and the Brown family embark on a journey to Peru to find her. The only clue they have is a marked spot on an intriguing map. Eager to solve this mystery, Paddington sets out on a heart-pounding quest through the Amazon rainforests in search of his aunt…and perhaps even uncover one of the world’s most legendary treasures.
The script for “Paddington in Peru” was penned by writers Mark Burton, Jon Foster, and James Lamont, who developed it from an original idea by Burton, Simon Farnaby, and Paul King. However, it was Paul King himself who helmed the direction for the first two movies in the Paddington series.
Additionally, King is involved in the production of the film along with Anna Marsh, Ron Halpern, Dan MacRae, Jeffrey Clifford, Rob Silva, and Tim Wellspring.
In U.S. cinemas, the film featuring Paddington will be screened on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025, courtesy of Sony Pictures Releasing, with the movie having been previously shot in Peru.
